Mold is a natural part of our environment, especially here on the California coast. Mold spores are always present in the air we breath, and will take hold and grow when the find the right environment. It is our job as landlords, and your job as tenants to not give mold a place to grow inside our homes. California has put together a nice booklet that gives you some pointers on the sources of mold and the ways to prevent it. If you see any conditions in your home that might be a source of mold please let your property manager know so we can investigate. Thanks.
